I did a bit of digging...Name and shame time.

Donna Hall £197k
Paul McKevitt £142K
Alison Mckenzie-Folan £167k
Stuart Cowley £143k
Kate Arndern £118k

I wouldn't care if they deserved it.

How very socialist of them.

Thought this just summed up the absurdity of the cycle lanes at the Saddle Junction!
It’s a laughing stock ????????
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

What's FADS, the furniture store ?

I'm also a keen Cyclist and runner, but avoid the saddle like the plague. Cycle paths should be away from traffic hotspots, the canal is close by and there are plenty of footpaths around.

Think they are just ticking the GM Cycleway box, but they will turn the saddle into a nightmare and an accident waiting to happen.
As a pedestrian who almost got knocked over by a ****head on a mountain bike on the pavement yesterday, please keep to the roads and cyclepaths. Also, since when was not having a bell or not having lights on at night made legal. Some cyclists have a death wish!

I agree entirely, they (the Council) talk about putting in all these cycle lanes to make it supposedly safer for cyclists. However, if they did any research or due diligence they'd know that almost all of us cyclists avoid The Saddle like the plague because it's an absolute nightmare.

Looking at the cycle lanes at Saddle junction it's akin to a crazy golf course and I'm not surprised someone has posted a spoof video of them playing golf on it (swines beat me to it). It's an absolute joke with curved kerbs that offer nothing and all sorts of weird shapes of cycle lanes, it really is an absolute abomination and utter waste of tax payers money. There are countless other causes that the Council could have spent the money on. One of the most annoying things is that no one is ever held accountable, no matter how big a cock up or waste of money there is (don't get me started on the removal of the roundabout at Marus Bridge)!!!!

Don't worry it won't be long before they start to moan about "Tory Cuts" meaning they can't fund sensible, useful stuff.

What's the betting they dig it all up again shortly to put mobility scooter lanes in?
