Re: Dean Bell honoured
Well it's better than nothing. ML must have read that us fans were not happy at the way Dean was being treated.
I will be proud to honour him on friday night.

Re: Dean Bell honoured
I suppose it would be too far-fetched to think maybe the club was intending to do something for Dean anyway? Rumours are just that - rumours. Nothing either Dean or the club have said indicates that the club has done anything untoward. Doesn't suit the anti-Mo paranoics though, does it?MrAlex posted:

Hear hear! he will get a standing ovasion from all in the stadium.
I was lucky to be old enough to see him play during the Glory Days as a nipper and after 15 years its the least we can do for him.
Well done Deano.
"Wigan Warriors are keen to celebrate the past heritage of this great Club and have developed an induction policy, which could possibly see up to two legends per season joining this illustrious list."
Does that mean Sean Long will be inducted?

Maurice "The Villain" Lindsey: "Bell - you're sacked. Bwah-hah-hah-hah-hah!!!" :devi:MrAlex posted:

Lindsey rushes around the JJB, snatching pictures of Dean Bell in his glory days off the wall, and grinding them beneath the heel of his snakeskin boot.
"That's got rid of that waste of time," he chuckles evilly to himself.
In rushes a Pathetic, Igor-Like Minion. "But boss," says the PI-LM. "I've just looked on Mike's board and the fans on there DON'T LIKE IT!!"
"Drat it!" snarls Lindsey. "Okay then, we'll ... er ... induct him into the Hall of Fame and give him a big send-off on Friday."
Lindsey slopes off, muttering to himself: "I'd have got away with it, too, if it hadn't been for those dratted kids! :devi: "

Re: Dean Bell honoured
I think our emails to the club certainly work. I also have a sneaking suspicion they do read forums albeit skim read.
