What's a deferred payment afterall? If Maurice is claiming that contracts were re-negotiated to bring us within the cap yet the RFL are claiming that that isn't within the spirit of the rules, does that mean that we can deduct £220k from this years spend? If we overspent this year by the £220k (the deferred amount) then as we have already been punished for that then we would get off further punishment. Surely they can't count the overspend twice. Or can they?
