Browser layout

Post by Mike »

Hi guys

Now its the offseason I have some time to fiddle with the site.

I looked at it in Internet Explorer for the first time in a while and realised that it doens't layout very well at all. This is definitely IE's fault - its a rubbish browser and I would recommend everyone to switch to Mozilla, Opera, Firebird or any of the other fabulous non-Microsoft browsers out there that do lay the site out correctly.

Here are some links if anyone is interested...
Firefox: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/
Mozilla: http://www.mozilla.org/products/mozilla1.x/
Opera: http://www.opera.com/

Mike, I clicked on firefox and now the 'letter page' on the Wigan website is only taking up some 2/3 of the width. What have I done wrong or what do I still need to do to get it the full width of the screen again?

A person with a compass and some steardy shoes that goes out to seek out new places on adventures.

The site doesn't look majorly different, its just not quite the same as I wanted it. The site will still work fine in IE, but it gets laid out a bit wrong.

A couple of things I noticed are.

On my IE the front page looks wrong - with the right hand side boxes slightly overlapping the middle content and being different widths.

On the News list page, the content in the middle doesn't span the full width of the column.

Which letter page? Is that on this site?
Post the URL if it isn't.
