Most memorable Try
Re: Most memorable Try
I remember that try so well johnsons_babexx!
One of my favourites from this season was Stephen Wilds 2nd against Widnes (a), where he did a ball and all tackle on erm...(i cant remember) stole the ball, stayed in the field of play, got up and scored the try.

Re: Most memorable Try
The try that sticks in my mind no one ever seem to recall, it was scored by Andy Gregory on the ploughed field they used to call a pitch at Thrum Hall against Halifax. He beat virtually the whole of the Halifax side with his strength, speed, and a few outrageous dummies to score from, if memory serves, the half way line. I have the video of the try on a season review tape and I will have to trawl through the lot till I find It.

It was against saints, he scored 2 that day. And no he wasnt offside, I still got that game on video somewhere.GeoffN posted:
I agree with DaveO, Offiah's Wembley try against Leeds.
Another that sticks in my mind is one by Henry Paul, but can't remember the opponents. A dropout from under our sticks, HP raced to halfway from our line and got to it first, went the rest of the way to score! (probably offside, but who cared?)

A few of come to mind especially Radlinski's try against the Dulls when Renouf ran three quarters of the pitch in the last minute of the match to off load to Radders. The others have to be Brian's (of course!) full lengthers against stains.

I loved Mark Prestons try at Wembley v's Warrington, hearing Alex murphy scream "the kids got another gear" as he blistered past David lyon. Also Henderson Gills, his was just a pure test of speed against Gary Kemble, and obviously the the huge grin afterwards.

i like all wigans try's good bad or ugly! but a few moments that stand out are joe lydons drop goal against stains 70 yards i beleive. or andy farrells conversion against the bulls at the jjb the hooter had gone and if he kicks it we win with a point and if he misses we lose by a point!(he kicked it).the strangest try was when shaun edwards caught a ball from a goal kick that had bounced off the bar and scored another try!
dont let your victories go to your head or your failures go to your heart
