Play off games

Post by OAMJSONA »

Call me an idiot but after watching theStains game 2 nite , if we beat Hull 2 morrow ( please let it be )i honestley think we have a good chance of making it to Old Trafford.
I thought Stains struggled bad time tonite and think the lonf hard season may be catching up with them .
Leeds lack that killer punch and do not pose any major problems

what do you all think

have we got a chance
Wigan is and always will be a town of Cherry & White

yes ,if we play to our strengths and keep the penalties and dropped balls low we could go all the way

What I dont think is fair is that Leeds lose, we win yet they still get the home advantage

Not so sure!!! Both teams were awesome in my opinion, in a cracker of a game!!! I think the saints had to defend alot and at some times in the game looked jaded, but when they attacked, looked very fast, alert, and very dangerous!!! Leeds again defended like troopers, but lacked the killer ball to break down the excellent saints defence!!! I honestly think Leeds will be a game to far as we looked absolutetly knackered after sat night, though I will defo be going and am looking forward to being proved wrong!!!

Thats the incentative to finishing as high in the league as possible. If Bradford had beaten us last week then Hull would have been away to Bradford. Finishing 6th means its on the road come what may!

I think the playoff system is pretty fair. Not so sure about the regular season though whereby we play Saints 4 times but there you go (at least it gave us a chance to get a win against them for a change)

can i just ask! how is it that everytime wigan play a crucial game we end up with a st helens referee? it shouldnt b allowed, steve ganson should NOT be allowed to ref wigan. If there was a ref from wigan refereeing a saints game they would go mad!!!

welcome to the board.

I believe with Ganson or not this is as good a time as any to beat Leeds and then, hopefully, St Helens. I dont believe in Destiny or superstition but if we keep our players fit after a Leeds win we can go all the way.

Leeds will be the toughest match of the season so far but we have proven we can beat them and not be intimidated.

Win or Lose on Friday i'll be happy with Wigan's achievement this year: challenge cup semi final (farse!), 3rd place finish and possible 1 or 2 minutes away from a grand final... a possible Man of Steel, just think last year flirting with relegation we have come a long way in a short time.
