I Need A Bit Of Advice!!

My 23 year old cousin has been sacked from his job for going on e-bay in working time, and he has also been thrown out of his home.

I am sending him text messages of support and I am getting some stick for sending him the messages.

The problem is that my family are calling him stupid for being sacked and are saying don't text him.

What can I do?? I feel stuck??

He's stupid to be sacked, and you should tell him so.

Being thrown out of his home seems extreme, though, unless there's another reason for that.

I think he was thrown out because he had been sacked and not told his parents.

On your other point GeoffN, he has all ready got a band wagon that are calling him "stupid" without me starting as well.

I do think he is daft for getting sacked but basically bo**ocks to telling him, I am just trying to support him at the minute.

He is answering my texts of support by the way!!

PS: I am not going to jump on the "lets all call him stupid" band wagon. I refuse to!!

I'd like to be sympathetic, but the abuse of internet during work is rife and companies are clamping down on "abusing" the system.
We are paid for doing a job and I would be very surprised if anyone was sacked for a minor indiscretion.
Don't want to get into an argument about the rights and wrongs, suffice to say there is no smoke withour fire!
Anyway, I hope everything works out OK
