Matt Cooper for Wigan?

Got a hot rumour from a source inside the club, or just something you heard down the pub? Then what are you waiting for, post it on The Rumour Mill.

It seems that we obviously are in contact when players start to come out and back their player to stay at least for this season.
True, but I think the article also should put an end to any speculation about Gasnier and Wigan:
"I have been very close to coming over to Wigan in the past - really, really, really close. In the end it got stopped by my club, and I'm kind of thankful for that now.

There was a lot of stuff going on but, the way my career has panned out, I guess it was a blessing in disguise."
He's obviously not bothered at all about us, if he thinks not coming here was "a blessing in disguise". Do we want someone so clearly uncommitted playing for us?

In the article, Gasnier makes comment that -""Coops loves his home town, and he's just in the process of building a house near where he grew up and loves dearly, so I'd definitely be surprised."
Is he building to let, I wonder, I doubt it.

Or just maybe Gasnier is a little bit envious of the fact that we want Cooper, & his boat has passed him by?

My thoughts exactly, if i remember rightly Gasnier took the mickey out of Wigan when we chased him, so i think he will be a little peeved that we want Cooper rather than him.
It's the same old story really saying he might come in a couple of years time, ie when St George don't want him any more and come over here for one last pay check,
I really do hope we get Cooper for next season the guy is some player.
