NZ Benefit Of The Doubt Try!

That try was never a try in the memory of man. The benefit of the doubt rule I reckon should be scrapped.

If the VR is in any doubt, then he shouldn't give it.

BTW: What did everyone think of Tony Archer. I thought over all he was pretty decent, and for once we saw a referee clamp down on hanging around in the ruck/play the ball area.

I always thought that on the line was out.

And from the high angle, it looked as though it was grounded before hitting the line, hence benefit of the doubt

I think from the close up angle that the BBC showed it, the ball was on the line, therefore "NO TRY" should have been the decision.

Imagine if that would have won NZ the match. GB's Danny McGuire try was also a contentious try, although whoever the VR was should have given "benefit of the doubt" on our try.

So do you want the rule scrapping or not? Or should it only apply for tries "scored" by Great Britain?

I thought that when putting someone in touch or if someone was scoring a try that if they are on the touchline (when putting an opponent into touch) or on the dead goal line (when scoring a try) then it is ouot of play.
