WEP REPORTS STORIES 2 DAYS LATER

Post by ddtftf »

Is it only me, or do I get deja-vu every time I read a story in the WEP, it apears to be word for word something I have read 2 days earlier in a daily paper. or rugby mag. Its reported that Fielden has had a shoulder op, but the WEP today has no mention of it. May be the editor needs to find a better source of info to keep the paper up to date with what is happening in the club.It says today that Wigan are being linked with Willie Mason! NOW WHERE HAVE I READ THAT EARLIER OR IS THIS BREAKING NEWS.Ps it also says test report on pages 26 and 27 but the paper ONLY has 24 inc back page,

I don't read the paper, just the online version, but in today's it has the same article as the club site, with I.L. denying the rumour.

The Mason rumour was at the bottom of the story about Lockers reflecting on the test match and series, that also has today's date on it...

Hmmm...fairly fast work, I'd say: the rumour was online at 09.32, and the denial at 10.56.

I don't buy or read the W.E.P, It's published in Preston and herein lies it's problem. It is NOT a Wigan Paper, its reporting is Preston based and usually outdated as mentioned or superfluous to the "good" folk of Wigan.

Its because the W.E.P is a pile of dog egg.
Ahh dog egg, there's a name I haven't heard for a while. I used to play in the JJB 6-a-side league, most of the other teams had prima dona names, we opted for an honest name and called ourselves the dog egg. I lost count of how many times people asked me what a dog egg was.
