Well Cooke played in two games for HKR against Hull and HKR won both so you could argue he was instrumental in HKR getting enough points to stay up but the real fault for Salford getting relegated was Salford's as it was Castlefords own fault when they went down.mike binder posted:

EDIT: Hull are now considering suing HKR and Cooke for £200K and £100K respectively. They may go after HKR because since Cooke has been deemed registered to Hull at the time he moved, they reckon they were entitled to a transfer fee for him.
Not sure why they would go after Cooke as I would have thought the suspension was his ounishment.

The thing I dont understand is that the RFL seemed to have cleared the transfer at the time. Why couldn't someone with a brain at HQ simply see what was legal/illegal and simply put a halt to any possible transfer?

This is, of course, the same RFL that apparently cleared our signing of Stuart Fielden before hitting us with a 4 point deduction for breaching the salary cap...ancientnloyal posted:
