He has pleaded not guilty. Trial adjourned because CCTV footage has been found of the incident. The defence need to examine the footage. Now if the prosecution submitted this footage that implies bad news for Feka.

Can I ask. Does Feka drink? I find it hard to believe that a man who controls himself so well on the field would not be able to do so off the pitch when sober

Will come off for the worse if found guilty on a not guilty charge, from past experience your always better off going guilty (unless you really are innocent), if this get's to crown he'll be well knackered if it go's the wrong way

Not looking good!

Jayne Kearsley, prosecuting, said the incident had been caught on CCTV cameras at the railway station. Ms Kearsley said defendants, if convicted of assaults of this nature, are normally jailed for 18 months.

James Stock, defending, said his client had only just received the CCTV material and needed time to consider the evidence.

The case was adjourned until December 18 for a further appearance at the same court for committal to Liverpool Crown Court for a trial by jury.

When I read that link this bit stood out:

"Jayne Kearsley, prosecuting, said the incident had been caught on CCTV cameras at the railway station. Ms Kearsley said defendants, if convicted of assaults of this nature, are normally jailed for 18 months.

James Stock, defending, said his client had only just received the CCTV material and needed time to consider the evidence."

I wonder if he will be advised to consider changing his plea to guilty based on the CCTV footage? I'd say with CCTV footage his chances of getting off are zero so it's about what sentence he gets.

Regardless of that we now know what he is potentially facing. 18 months in prison. Of course the prosecution always paint the worst picture but that is what it is.

Well you might find an answer to that in this thread on rlfans. Read Alex BP's posts:

You may not be able to read it as I think it got deleted.

Talk about a doom and gloom merchant. CCtv is just as likely to prove innocence as it is guilt. There seems little doubt that Feka threw the punch. The question is why. Guilt or innocence lies on that answer. Given the cctv evidence as such a late date stinks of underhand working. Taken the day of arrest was immidiately after the incident the cctv would be checked then. Has the prosecution tried to suppress it because it is damaging to their case. Does it cast doubt on Feka being the aggressor? If the cctv damages the prosicution case it my be that a plea bargain to reduce it to a lesser chatge is the best option for both camps. Please note this is not the trial. This is only to send it to crown court for trial by jury. Given the current case backlogs etc the cctv could be the saviour not the gallows, HC

That link has been deleted Dave, not sure what was on there but pretty nmuch what people are saying on here is correct, if he is found guilty he will be looking at 18 months in jail.
Lets hope the cctv footage is in his favour, but with it being set for later this month it is not looking good.

Shouldn't have hit him in the first place unless in self-defence. Own fault if you ask me.

A set of unfortunate circumstances.
