Leeds Arrogance!!!

Post by Matthew »

Whilst browsing BBC sport in my lunch break I came across this little gem:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_l ... 181509.stm
It's a Leeds fan (who's wearing sunglasses inside - although whether he is actually blind or just doing it in a failed attmept to look "cool" is anyone's guess) who "hopes" that Leeds can go through the entire season unbeaten, with a "possible" double of the challenge cup. No mention of whether they will actually win super league - he obviously sees this as a foregone conclusion.

Where as Wigan fans (on this site at least) have tried to be realistic about their teams chances, this guy thinks Leeds have got it sewn up before a ball has been kicked.

Even when Wigan were at their very best and won ever single cup going - they still had the odd slip up.

Oh how I hope he's wrong!

Interviewer: So that obviously means that you're not going to St Helens and you're not going to Leeds?

Frano: I don't know why I would ever want to go to St Helens or Leeds

They will slip up. Every team does. Everybody thought the bulls would be unbeatable last year but look what happened. Look at football. Arsenal said they wouldn't lose a game a few seasons ago but went and lost the first game of the season. When your on top there is only one direction you can go and thats down.
Leeds Rhinos COME ON DOWN.

They couldn't have such incredible luck with injuries again this season. That'll make life more difficult for them.

to be honest i thought bradford where every bit as good as leeds last year and just got their tactics wrong in the grand final. that aside given a bit of luck? with injuries the warriors will be there or there abouts

Leeds don't look special at all, it's all hype people are getting their opinions from the media. It would help if a certain two commentators would stop trying to brainwash everyone. Leeds will not go through the season unbeaten and I doubt they'll even win one trophy this year.
All talk..
