Was told by someone that the stains are 200,000 quid over the cap.


And its come from a stains fan!

If it''s true then deduct the bu**ers as many points as we got taken off us!!

The RFL are no so keen to deduct points now though are they??

As per usual Saints will find an excuse to get out of being deducted points!

It may be true.

James Roby's cousin assured me that the stains gave the "man of plastic" a whopping £128K season with bonuses AND GB appearance enhancements too.

Saints were done the last time they broke the cap due to giving Graham bonuses for GB appearances. They said they thought they didn't count.

They still got done for braking the cap but I am pretty sure the rules have been amended in some way to allow clubs to pay players bonuses for playing for GB. I could be wrong but I seem to recall the outcome being Saints were still found guilty but the RFL accepted it was wrong and in future this would not apply.

I thought they said that they didn't expect Graham to become a full GB international so quickly. Not supprising really. If there was no leeway for this sort of rapid development of a young player earning him lots of unexpected bonuses every club would have to spedn substantially under the cap to ensure that all possible bonuses no matter how unlikely still had their total outgoings under the cap.

And now the new franchise rule – A team has to have an average home att of 10,000 to enable them to get a point in the franchise….Well lets just see if there attendance will suddenly rise
