West Tigers or Wigan Warriors?

Re: West Tigers or Wigan Warriors?
If it didn't work, or wasn't allowed to for Wigan, then why should it be for West's? If they are allowed to get around the cap in this manner, then surely it should bring the ESL ruling into disrepute.

The biggest Room is the Room for improvement.
The best form of defence is attack!!
Out of the black and into the red, remember you don't get anything for two in a bed!!

This bit from the article:
"You can't be over the cap if you haven't spent the money."
Is stating the obvious and no doubt what Mo and DW thought was obvious as well.
Only at the Nigel Wood run RFL would anyone be daft enough to bring unquantifiable matters of opinion such as "spirit of the cap" into it.
The Aussies obviously have no problem with the simple concept I quote above.

Given the RFL/SL and NRL are run by two independent bodies all it does is show up the RFL for the stupid numbskull's they are.butt monkey wrote:If it didn't work, or wasn't allowed to for Wigan, then why should it be for West's? The RFL have a catch-all clause in the salary cap about not breaking the "spirit" of it which means it comes down to a matter of opinion as to what a club does to stay under it is "in the spirit".
