Fortress JJB

Post by stevethegas »

Someone will have an accurate count, but I reckon it's a dozen consecutive winning games now at the JJB. Not all pretty, but grinding out results when you aren't at your best is probably no bad thing.
Let's hope that this is a trend to carry on.
Generally support good, but was the weather and the ridiculous RL inspired penalty count keeping people away against Trinity? We all seemed a bit subdued for the last two games even though we won.
Come on, let's earn that No.18 shirt.
I keep humming "this is fortress JJB" to the tune of 'Clementine'. Quite catchy in its own way!

"Fortress JJB" was something Nobby said he aspired to last year...taken 12 months but welcome nonetheless, let's just hope we can keep it up

home forms key and thats what the jjb should be a fortress for any travelling team to expect a hard fought and physically tough game. winning all home fixtures nearly guarantees a decent position within the league at least in the top half so if we can progress from the home form and take it to away fixtures we should be looking for a high finish for the season

Wasn't that the semi in the CC at Halliwell Jones? :conf:
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.

that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

My apologies, it's showing as a home game on the "official" site
In that case you have to go back to 18th May when we lost 10 12 to hull KR

It is 12 home games now then, and the Catalan result wasn't at Wigan. Mind you with the travelling support we get from Wigan it often feels like a home game wherever we are. Certainly the Harlequins opener was more Cherry and White than London, and even though we lost at Saints, the support was excellent.
Sometimes seems quiet at the JJB, and I think a Fortress should be very noisy.
