Line up for next sunday

Post by warrior till i die »

granted the opposition arent the best, I still think we need to put out some sort of side to get a result. If McIllorum has a knock I cant see him playing. So I will go with a line up of

1. Mathers
2. Ainscough
3. Bailey
4. Carmont
5. Stanton
6. S.Tompkins
7. Leuluai
8. Coley
9. Higham
10. O'Carroll
11. Mossop
12. J.Tompkins
13. O'Loughlin

14. Richards
15. Palea'asenia
16. Coyle (use as second hooker)
17. Fielden

I think that gives us a good mix, with a decent bench if we need to use the likes of richards.

Looks a decent line up.

Good mix of experienced players and allowing those pushing for a 1st team call up their chance.

Would like to see Ainscough and Stanton given their shot and this would be the game to try them.

yes, nicky is a very adequate kicker.

To be honest though.

Playing ainscough and stanton on the wings wont make much difference in attack because wingers in our team dont really get it outwide to make anything happen.
Having mossop and tomkins in 2nd row is just as strong as having bailey and hansen.
Coyle played well against leeds but wasnt his best against cats, so whats the problem in putting sam tomkins in.

It would be still a strong lineup to include these youngsters.

I was under the belief that Mathers kicked goals (at least during his junior days) too? :doz:

From recent performances id say that there is no risk in leaving hansen and bailey out.

Bailey only offers us penalties. So i would rather have tomkins playing instead of him.

Although i think that hansen is a great player with a huge future, he doesnt seem to have been playing well the last few games. He is our best tackler on the team by a longshot and one of the best angled runners. But what harm would it be to have mossop starting and having hansen on the bench.
