Joe Westerman

Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

Good point A/L.

To BM and his lynch part. PM me if you wish to. I do not think this forum needs to be bored.

Defence is very simply. If the opposition pass the ball wide, the defenders after first moving forwards in a line, drift outwards again in a line whilst keeping the same gap between each defender. Trent decided not to do so which meant Goulding was left with a huge gap inside to cover as well as the gap to the outside. So close to the line and with so much space you have little or no chance to prevent anybody scoring.
Goulding was stood directly in front of wellens - he ran around him to make the break before off-loading; whilst Barrett may be out of position; it was Goulding that missed the tackle. He was patted away and run around by the slowest fb in Super League.

I appreciate your loyalty to the youngsters that you have followed as they have come through the academy; but are they any less accountable for their actions than players from outside of Wigan? You seem happy to criticise any of our players that aren't from our youth set up when they have a poor game - but are outraged when a recent former academy player is criticised by another forum user. It makes no difference to me where a player comes from and they shouldn't be forgiven just for being a local lad.

Bottom line - do you think that Goulding had a good game on Sunday?

I thought that he had a shocker and on current form is no better than DV was.

It's comments like this that cause arguments on here. If you don't agree with someone's (anyone's) opinion that is fine; but cheap comments like this are more at home on RLFans than here

Matthew arewe talkingabout thesame incident. The try I am highlighting was the one where Wellens scored from a scrum. Are you thinking of Another?

The reality is my views come from listening to people who know what they are talking about and from seeing some of the people you happily criticise and write off from when they were 11 years old.

I asked you to argue constructively. You cannot.

I apologise for not being able to suffer fools gladly. You will be able to know if you are a fool because you will find me pompous, conceited and arrogant lol
To a certain extent - I apologize for my outburst.

BUT, your condescending manner could not go unresponded too. Who do you think I am? One of your pupils, to be admonished and "put in their place"?

I have not been watching Wigan for the "odd year or two", in-fact, I used to watch all the reserve fixtures on Thursdays and Academy on Saturday, even making the trips to Milwaukee and the Brisbane match in 94! I am entitled to opinion (as you are). We can agree to disagree also, but your attitude to some (at times) is beneath you and you know it, when you disagree with someone.

This thread had no mention of you until "God" intervened. You also originally have said that you will not respond to any of my posts - so you are untruthful there. I however, unless you direct more bile my way, will not to anymore of your rubbish.
I asked you to argue constructively. You cannot.
You might describe me as "pedantic" but when did you ask anywhere in your posts for debate, rather than trade insults?

Well said Matthew! Common sense being shown by someone at least. As for A+l - I hope your head gets better!

Wellens didn't score the try; he offloaded after rounding Goulding and someone else romped in - there were so many I can't remember who it was who touched the ball down.

I did have it on sky+ but deleted straight away because I was so annoyed.

I can't bring myself to watch the game again on the super league show :(

I find it very amusing that this thread started out about Joe Westerman informing people that he had signed a new contract and you have all gone off that point and are arguing about our young players!

Sometimes I just... forget it
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
