Re: Sam Tomkins
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

The obvious alternative is Tommy to play some of the game at 9. A no 6, Trent and Lockers on the right hand side wolud be at least one if not more player too many.

The old adage "if they are good enough, they are old enough". Never stopped Bobbie Goulding playing for Wigan as a 16 year old at Halifax's Thrum Hall on debut. How about that for a testing debut?cpwigan wrote:Do not get carried away but if he is developed correctly in 3 or 4 years time there is an excellent halfback called Joe Mellor in the Academy Team who could form a great partnership with Sam. Let me add he is way way off being that at the moment.
