It was only yesterday they announced how the NL1 and NL2 would be organised with 10 teams in each due to Salford and Celtic getting into SL. It was all about how the promotion and relegation would work to achieve these two 10 team leagues.

Now they want to add another side and this totally screw that up?

The could not organise....

I can't see this working, there just isn't the money in the NL's or the french game to have one side travelling to or from the south of france every week. Unless the SL is funding the travel costs of the team that has to travel each week. Toulouse will go out of business if they try to do this alone.

Toulouse, who missed out on a Super League licence this week, are likely to be the favourites to be nominated.

The RFL are also investigating opportunities for other European clubs, possibly from Scotland or Ireland, to participate in the competition.

RFL chief executive Nigel Wood said: "We believe the inclusion of a French club in Co-operative National League One would add tremendous value and interest to the competition.

"It would give the League a broader appeal, offer all supporters an exciting new element to their viewing experience, create added interest for broadcast partners and continue to drive up playing standards at this level of the sport."
Talk even of clubs from either Scotland and/or Ireland :eh:

Come on guys - are you seriously suggesting that the RFL would go into something half-cocked without thinking it through?

Oh, hang on...
