I too have come to this conclusion. When asked by friends if I was renewing my season ticket, for the first time ever, I am not sure if I want to bother watching this inconsistent, excuse laden drivel. Which is a shame! :conf:

I will be daft enough to do it again but I would just like to add that I had come to my conclusion about this season before tonight's game. There has been nothing in it to suggest next season will be any better.

Still I am not as daft as the lunatics who at the final whistle stood and started applauding out team. It can't have been for the match and surely not for the season?

The idea of a lap of honour was even before the game started seriously misguided as the season had already not warranted it.

I didn't stay. This season they didn't deserve a lap of honour. They didn't deserve my time and applause.

I've only been to matches twice in the last 6 weeks, mainly because of the drivel that is being served up.

Two things took my attention from the boredom.

1- Why was a Wigan player substituted with 3mins 22seconds left to half time, (the player leaving ran off so wasn't injured), so unsettling the team, Leeds scored just after. This in my opinion wasted a substitute, so close to the rest.

2- Why did it take almost 2 minutes for the kicking tee to be produced when we scored that second half try, I know Wigan would not have saved the match, but a bit of effort would not have gone amiss. The coaching staff were just sitting around, not on the boil.

There is obviously trouble in the club, there never seems to be a game plan, save bashing up the middle, our lightweight pack doesn't stand a chance, no one backs up with purpose as though a move is on.
Which brings me to Mr Palliawhatshisname, he looks good with those short bursts of his and he gets the crowd up in anticipation, but I ask you, is this what depths we have dropped to, to treat it like a circus side show? If it was part of a big game plan I could understand. Leeds, St. Helens, Warrington and Catalans have players who run through opposing teams for fun, especially against Wigan, and these players can tackle!
The passing was abismal, usually around the head or behind the man it was intended for, thus losing momentum.
'Oh I, two more questions?
Why is Mickey Higham leaving? Good luck Mickey.
and
Why is that waste of space Mathers still getting on the team sheet? All he can do is back-slap, with his new "mates".
No, I don't like him.

warrior till i die wrote:wrong decision to play coley second row, he is a prop, shoud of moved tomkins up to second row and barrett to loose. Tim smith shouldnt of been on the bench! we shown effort but it wasnt good enough.

And those of you who sang noble out in the south stand a few questions..

1) Are your brains too small to think????? whoose better??? cullen??? jon sharp???? peter sharp????

2) Singing we want edwards in, dont we all??? he is NOT going to come back from union! so what is the point???

We have the best british coach available, id prefer us to stay british and get some consistancy going, considering we havent had that on the pitch or in the coaches seat for the last few years.
Millions of pounds have been invested to produce Olympic Golds and guess what coaches brought from all over the world. Where are the best RL coaches. In Australia. It is a no brainer.

The game was flat one of our typical efforts , only this one was against a ream able to take advantage of it .
I'm an optimistic cup's half full person but some of the poor performances have almost emptied my bloody cup completely .
I do not think we are miles behind with the players we have they are led poorly both on and more importantly off the field . People blamed Lockers leadership has Barrett done better?
The coach is one dimensional (and thats giving him more credit than he deserves this season)
We have no dummy runners and never put any doubt in the opposition defence , that's why other teams can man handle our forwards , for eg if Hansen was at Saints with the angels he runs he would make more brakes and score tries why because of the work others would do without taking the ball creating doubt !
Dave O is spot on regards of Higham being subed by the clock , I am not his biggest fan but he was doing fine why take him off? Nobby seems unable to change the way he thinks mid game .
Fekka starting was a blunder he is better running at a tiring team ...... and that has been my problem with Higham him and Fekka and Hock hitting the field all at once would be great but how often have we seen it .
The defencive patterns are .... well ''non existent'' We are one of the worse in the league a disgrace .
For a coach who plays a boring one out up the middle game the amount of points we give away through dropped ball and mistakes softly is an embarrassment , maybe the above is a result of players being able to line our forwards up so easy .
For weeks people slam Hock for dropping ball ect, many times he is the only one to try something so his mistakes will always be higher , more to the point he makes the ball available only to have know body with him often a another defender makes contact he loses the ball and gets slated . God help us if he was at Saints .
Going back to Fekka one of the most if not the most destructive runners why do we not create moves around him? out wide, from scrums ,dummy runner and just passing ???
Going back a bit but imagine the player he could be with a coach like Graham Lowe at the helm !
I think Smith worked OK with both Baz a few weeks back and with Lulu is it beyond us to have Three creative players on the field and make adjustments to alow this ??
We looked so disjointed have they been trained this week?
CP said schoolboy not professional to me that is the only thing that sums up some of the lack lustre performances .
IL after 6 months stated that the back room staffing is not good (not enough bodys) did the coach not know this ?
Surely the first thing would have been to point this out !
All the above finnally points to one thing

I think you will find Dave O simply said a lap of honour was not a good idea given how unattractive the standard of RL has been this season. The game has moved on and Noble has run out of ideas, well he never had many and what he did were Smith/Elliott's

Never as true words cpwigan, "Noble has run out of ideas", the job ahead of him is too demanding.

It's only a matter of time that you people will see that Phelps is the most pissweak defensive player in professional RL.
