Above him pissweak tonight took a very bad bang early doors off a Barrett hospital pass , don't think it was him who missed tackles up the middle failed to knock a ball dead , passed or dropped balls that lead to tries but we may as well have a skape goat for a very disappointing game and a crap season. The Eclipse wrote:It's only a matter of time that you people will see that Phelps is the most pissweak defensive player in professional RL.

Yes that was exactly what I meant. It wasn't warranted for the performances earlier in the season not just tonight.cpwigan wrote:I think you will find Dave O simply said a lap of honour was not a good idea given how unattractive the standard of RL has been this season.turf wrote:I take it you wanted the boos for the team and NO lap of honour then DaveO??? :conf:DaveO wrote: Still I am not as daft as the lunatics who at the final whistle stood and started applauding out team. I always stay to the whistle, win or lose but have to get going quickly after that. No luxery of the south stand bar for me! I will admit though had we won tonight I would have possibly stayed longer but for one reason and one reason only - to clap Micky Higham. Not to thank the team as a whole because over the season they don't deserve it. However after that performance I had just had enough of this season, period. If Micky knows how to use the Internet he will know I rate him anyway!

Re: Leeds Reflections
I dont know if this has been said in another thread, if it has forgive me.
In the south stand bar after the game Noble said at the end "we cant win the grand final this year".
At first I thought I misheard him until all of the people on our table confirmed it and people outside also.
If thats what he did say he inspired me to go to the playoffs and watch them! (joke)
Also he said we had a third of the cap in the stands.......Lockers, Bailey, Hock and Richards!!
If thats true 3 out of the 4 would be gone foe me and bring in value for money.
Im annoyed about last night as we seemed the better team in the first 20 minutes then died. Nearly all of Nobles plans last night were poor and showed it also.
He will never in the memory of man resign and from the sounds of it will not be fired so we have a lot to look forward to next year.
Think we will choose our matches next year instead of the 6 season tickets and turn up when we want as it seems to work for the players!!

Just what I was expecting to happen before the team was announced Medlocke but then I had forgotten that Noble only makes stupid positional moves like playing O'Loughlin at stand off and substituting Leueluai after 20 minutes against Stains after he had been moved there when our original hooker was dismissed after 5 minutes even though the original 'plan' had been to bring on Highham after 20 minutes so we had to stick to that.medlocke wrote:
i reckon the inclusion of Barrett threw the team off myself, he should have started at lock with Smith at 6

The problem is as I said originally, we don’t have a team, we don’t have a team leader either. Trent Barrett whilst he can be individually brilliant, the essence of a great player is also to be a great leader, he certainly is not. Stuart Fielden is not a good leader, maybe a pack leader but not someone who can organise and motivate

Re: Leeds Reflections
I never used to like watching Bradford when Noble was there. They'd just biff it up the middle and pass to a big brute on the wing.
He's tried to play the same way here without the personnel to do it. Only when we had Dobson in the Deacon role have we looked consistently good.
We are short of ideas, woefully short of pace and look unfit.

RL at a professional level is or should be incredibly well planned. Game day is simply an execution of weeks/months of a game plan honed to perfection on the training pitch.the_Warrior_in_ Brum wrote:The problem is as I said originally, we don’t have a team, we don’t have a team leader either. Are you saying the coach is not important? Daniel Anderson made a huge difference to Saints Graham Lowe/John Monie made a huge difference to Wigan
