honda cbr 125r

You can get faster bikes, but this is great for a new rider, and very reliable.

How about a mid 80's Yamaha RD 12 LC2, i used to own one that was Stan Stephens tuned, that thing went like a rocket lol, or why not try an early 90's Honda NSR,a Yamaha TZR, a Suzuki RG 125 Gamma, for some reason i like the older bikes compared to todays i think they look a lot cooler

You need to decide which is more important to you; speed or reliability. It's usually a trade-off between the two. I've always liked Hondas, but the nsr is more expensive than the cbr, and not sure it's worth the difference.
Also, the CBR is a four-stroke (that's why it's slower acceleration) which are always more reliable, and cheaper to maintain. The NSR is a two-stroke.
