Post by exile in Tiger country »

A high up from the RFU, whose name I forget, was quoted on the "Today" prograame on Radio 4 at 7:30 this morning, saying "The Rugby football union will no longer fund expensive raids for Rugby Leagues top players".

I think the main help from RFU came in the form of transfer fees/compensation to League club. Anyway lets hope our stars players stay with a proper game.

hope your right but i cant see it happening as union is 10 times bigger than league and players who slightely like union will want play it as the money is well better and it raises the profile of them. it wasnt that long ago that shontayne hape said that a lot of players are asking him about it and after world cup there will be quite a few players will be swapping codes.
