At the moment i believe this is the guy coming next season

his NRL contracts out, he's heading for super league and Wigan have a hole to fill, i think Smith should start sub, he'll bring him on for Piggy and leuluai will go hooker - maybe

but i've sed it once and i'll say it again

I think Lyon would be a good buy but he is naturally a centre and would cost a fair wack so there are probably better stand off's we could buy (don't ask me who)

A prop is more needed to start with imo

Don't agree, a centre like Lyon is capable of making an average winger look like the best in Super League and would be a great buy. Feka is getting more game time, Fielden seems to be getting his confidence back and with Prescott Coley and O'Carroll we have options at prop.

Jamie Lyon would be a good signing for centre and it would be nice to have two good centres for a change with Carmont and Lyon.

Wigan still need to sign another prop, the fact Leeds were able to name 4 good forwards on the bench against Wigan is what gave them the advantage in the second half. If Wigan wanted to play a similar system who would they pick?

Starting - Fielden & Coley
Subs - Feka, Prescott, O'Carroll, ??????

Warrington were originally linked with Lyon after Martin Gleeson announced he wanted to play in the NRL.

Lyon is still contracted to Manly and the Wire offered a large transfer fee in order to "prize away" one of their best assets. He has predominantly played stand off for Manly.

BTW, his girlfriend is British (from his previous stint) and is homesick. Wants him to return back to the UK

If Lyon is going anywhere its back to stains, there chairman said they were going to leave space on the cap (that makes a change) incase anyone come available, Lyon was hero worshipped by stains fans.

but god no not lockyer, he is a proper biscuit legs these days, stay clear leave some slack on the cap, players always become available mid season.

I agree that we should get a new prop. Not least after Coley stated after the 2nd stains match that he didn't want to be part of the team. When Smith is fit he will be fine at 6, there is a cheeky spark about him - more of a danny broough type than a Trent type. Don't be surprised if Feka gets alot more gametime in 2009, his fitness regime and 'Frank' words with BN will see to that, he'll also be fired up after being left out of the Samoa squad.

Could you elaborate on that?
