Only seen these in the flesh yesterday at the match cos I live in London....the shirts are made in three sections, and it looks so obvious that they made the red and white parts first, then attached the Mecca strip once the deal was done.

The players shirts are all one piece and look better....any idea when those are going on sale, they mentioned something in the original e-mail. Nobody at the club knows.

It seems pretty obvious that the replica shirts were made with regular spaced hoops ready for whatever sponsor needed to by attached - the sponsor was agreed but the logo didn't fit on the middle white stripe - rather than re-printing a new batch of the kits, they cut them apart and a wider white hoop sewn in with the logo on it. Perhaps this is not what happened, but it explains the lengthy delay and fits in with the "money saving" ethic of the club.

I'm not getting one this year - it looks embarrasing. I'll wait until they make ones out of one piece of material (if they run out of the original batch) or I'll get the training kit which looks pretty nice.

I pre-ordered both home and away shirts. Got my home shirt in time for the cas game like most people. Right thats fine only missed 2 home games. Rang up on Thursday to ask about the away shirts and have been told they will not be here for a few weeks yet. Well I'm sorry but it is gonna be cancelled and I'm going to ask for my money back, because we will be well into the season by then and before long the shirts will be going on sale at half price and then there will be another new shirt for next season. :(
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Has anyone else received the special offer from the club, the one about buying a shirt and being put into a draw to become a member of the squad for one match, a good idea.

Unfortunately once again they demonstrate that things are not well, firstly the away socks are said to be the home socks and we therefore have two sets of home socks and no away. Secondly you have until the 20th March to take part but they will announce the winner on the 1st March.

If I was Mecca I would be asking serious questions about the quality of people in our marketting department

Yes I saw that & put it on another thread along with some other mistakes. It does make the club look amateurish

And they are deeply embarassing, mecca bingo, the shame of it.

I dont see why its so embarrassing having Mecca Bingo as our Sponsors. Now a sponership deal with Durex or Tampax would be embarrassing.
