How do you join the riversiders?
Turn up at a meeting at the JJB, find one of the committee (usually pretty easy, they're the ones doing most of the talking!), fill in a form, give them your life savings and they give you a keyring in return. Simple really.

You dont even have to join the first time you attend.
Just go along, have a pint and listen to the players forum.
If you like it then join.
Its £6 for 12 months.
Even i can work out thats only 50p per month.
Not exactly your life savings.
I have joined this year, its actually alright.
They have had terry Newton, Kev Brown, Kris Radlinski, Dennis Moran and Bryn Hargrieves attend already for questions and answers this year in an open forum basis.
Or for kids it's even less than £6, but I can't remember how much (not really something I take much notice of at my age!).
If you wanted to give them your life savings, I'm sure they wouldn't say no. If anyone wants to discuss donating all their money to this group then I'm happy to act as a go-between, the Chairman of the Riversiders is in the seat in front of mine at the JJB - I promise not to charge too much commission!

Being in the Riversiders does have its benifits you know:
* Cheaper coach travel
* Club information before anyone else
* Meeting players, officials, RFL executives,
journalists and RL personalities.
* Game nights and events with player presence
* Free Christmas party
* Priority for tickets for major events/finals etc
* And who could forget the key ring!
Riversiders is great! One of the best supporters clubs in the country I would think, even latics dont meet players or even have monthly meetings! Everyone should join if they are not already members, if you love wigan rugby, its the place to be!

All very true, they do a great job. I've been a member for several years, and whilst I can't often get to meetings these days it's still great way to catch up on what's going on, and I've made some good friends through the group as well. The only problem if too many people join up is that finding big enough venues for meetings may become a bit more difficult!
