They were a gang of young people, and I mean young, boys and girls drunk at the back, they were later escorted out of the ground. These idiots are a total disgrace and we don't want or need those type of so called supporters associated with our club. They need to be named and shamed.

It could have grave consequences for the club.
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

No place for it in RL or in society as a whole.

Saw few 'kids' supposedly Wigan fans outside the ground before we went in and they were off their heads then. Believe drunken 'fans' caused trouble at London?! This must be stopped for the sake of our good name. Also saw a bottle of ale come sailing down from back of the West and fortunately it missed the fans at the front and hit the pitch. (presume it was plastic-hope so anyway!) but still out of order.

the game of RL has began to develop a real culture of drinking especially on 'away days'. It worries me.

stood at the game on friday, i was surrounded by brunken lowts!
a few next to me, one behind me (all talking utter pap) and then a group to the lower right of me who began to 'kick-off'. it was clear to me that it was all just 'ale talk'.

its a worryingly growing culture!

i remember at salford 2 seasons ago a small group of kids (wigan fans) drunk - one 'hard one', possibly the cock of the group, urinated into his plastic pint cup... outside the ground he had a fight with someone walking to their car. I still see this group on away days acting the same.

IMO coaches (eg frasier eagle not brian noble) should have an alcohol search because this is the only way they get to away games in groups. things like coke bottles filled with clear liquids etc...

90% of our young away fans are excellent and do the club proud - the likes of Bear :)

A few years ago Hull had major issues at their semifinal against Leeds in Huddersfield and embarrassed the whole of our Great Game. I remember their chairman addressing the home support saying along the lines of:-
"We may not be the only club with problems, but so what? This is our problem and we must solve it."
They did, produced effective bans and since then their gates have doubled.
It's just the same here. We simply can't let our club, our game and our supporters degenerate to the level we have seen especially in the round ball game. It's our problem, and hiding the guilty won't ever do. The supporters and the club must be of one voice and one policy on this or we all suffer. Let's identify and isolate the guilty for the good of all.

Just a question to Consig and the young lads? Are you allowed to drink on coaches. I know the legal position but in reality yes/no? Is it a good thing if you are? As in anything in life it is the 1% who screw it for everybody else but unfortunately that 1% dictate how we must live our lives.
