Can't remember. I've still got the '92 Wembley programme somewhere....but knowing my filing system it'll take 6 weeks to find it!

moran will be a good captain.. just don`t think he is ready yet, agree with geoff regarding radz at captain..
know there are still some people who are unsure bout moran, ( granted i`ve not seen him play that well myself!! ) but he will come good.. as i think dany orr will get better and better.. he is a great tackler, as well as good with ball in hand..

back to the question though.. i guess radz has to keep it until someone takes it from him,

Danny orr was fantastic in his leadership against saints.

Every time we scored it was orr who got everyone together at half way.

He showed a lot of charicter in that game.

I agree that Newton would make a good captain. He's solid both in attack and defence, and he's respected within the Wigan team. Rads doesn't seem to be able to command the lads respect. I've heard a tale (so mite not b true) that Rads was having a go at one of the younger players (not sure who) when they made a silly error, the younger player told Rads to eff off, and Newton heard, blasted the lad and the lad was all "Yes, Terry..."
I love Rads, i really do, but i'm not sure he's got the confidence to kick bum when it needs to be done. Moran as captain? The idea horrifies me. I don't really rate him. Guess i'm waiting for him to prove himself. Orr, maybe, but IMO he's too much of a professional player, (which i know sounds daft). He's a consumate and intelligent player, but his heart and soul has never really been in it. He always plays his best for the team he's playing for, but I know i prefer my captain to be playing for the spirit of Wigan lol. I'm just too much of a romantic lol.

Danny Orr wants to play and win for Wigan. Yes he's a consummate professional and intelligent player but I think you're out of line saying he doesn't play with his heart and soul for Wigan. Danny is one of the few rugby players who no matter what is happening in the game never gives up. I'd call that a long way to giving your heart and soul, how many other rugby players could say that?
