ah well i tried :( We need something to happen to cheer us up like erm the return of mrs.lam maybe.

when eric ashton was alive
with billy boston by his side

in 85, at wem ber ley
john ferguson and brett kenny
a team that played the wigan way
and won the challenge cup in may

in 95 we won them all
tuigamala, faz and paul
a team that playyyyyed the wigan way
and won the championship in may

Ancient and loyal upon my chest

how tall are giraffes? What about mike g's reign in charge after all hes still our coach.

'ow do all,i've just joined, and enjoyed reading the last few pages of this thread, remenicing and the like ( Hen Pens etc.) I would like to see a match played under the old rules, ie. before the 4 tackle rule. Up your jumper rugby as it was called, could be a charity match or something just to see what the contrast would be to these super fast times. If I remember rightly, the music for the entrance of the teams back then was called "The entry of the Gladiators". Also, regarding players, does John Ferguson's son play the game, or his daughter for that matter ( Rugby Leage ) that is.

Gotta say the unlimited tackle rule is one of the things I don't miss about the 'old days'!
