Tonight watched a behinds the scenes film on the Lions RU from 1997 and both teams were far more entertaining than anything you get from the modern Lions.
Even the rugby league seems to be played with more urgency, basic but entertaining rugby...wingers who would actually take players on
I only really started paying a lot of attention to rugby league in 2002 and now realised I've missed out on a hell of a lot and also come to realise how dire the rugby is that Noble has Wigan playing. Although to be fair I thought the modern SL doesn't compete with some games I've seen.
