Saints would not be buying or selling anyone. They are both out of contract so are free agents. If Carmont joins another club that cub does not have not pay a fee for him to Wigan.
I presume Saints would want him over Gilmour as he would be on lower wages and because they don't feel their younger players are ready for SL - the latter being exactly the situation Wigan are in IMO.

Saints need Carmont as Eastmond will play 7 not center as he has been doin for the last 7-8 weeks & Wheeler isnt strong enough, as for Gilmour Saints only offered him £70k for 1 year where as Huddersfield offered him £75 on a 2 year deal!!!
