You are basing that assertion on a career that in all competitions totalled 12 first team starts and 9 subsitutes appearances over a four year Wigan career? Two of those 12 first team starts were in the Middlesex sevens in 2002!

He has a good game and we all think weve lost a world class player here. Bloody hell if he was that good hed have been a regular since he was here.
Hes a decent player playing in a team getting a bit of confidence playing a team who are normally poor away. Maybe we made a mistake and should have got rid of Newton then.

just saying from what we did see of him stood out better than some of the other stand offs we have recently can you name any of these stand offs we have had recently that have stood out any better or one who has had a hat trick in one game for us come to that.

If you care to look up Jones statistics on this site you will find he only made nine SL starts and 6 sub appearances in his entire Wigan career from 1999 to 2002. How anyone can say he had a lot of good games for Wigan I don't know.
And as to Johns yes he did play better than him when not injured. He career here was ruined by injury and it just didn't work out. When he was fit he had more talent in his little finger than Jones.

Jones found a bit of form and when he found it was dropped!
