I saw York play last season in the game at Widnes, their defence wasn't as strong as UTCs tonight, we'd have stuffed them even if we'd played badly, like we did tonight.GeoffN posted:
No, because I've never watched either Pia or York, as I said in my original answer, therefore neither you nor I know by how many points they are better or worse.

Re: Rock Bottom
There was no 'players player' award tonight because Denis said no player was good enough, they all failed to back each other up and they had let the fans down.
This was the worse game I have ever seen, some of the boys out there looked knackered. They played it like it was a friendly - I hate seeing Wigan in this state!!!!!!!

Why without a doubt is it a lower division outfit than those in SL?

Re: Rock Bottom
I agree good for Dennis because I had difficulty picking out a good player tonight. Other than Dallas who is never lazy, the rest well they thought they only had to turn up to get through. How wrong you were Wigan.

Re: Rock Bottom
We made UTC look good tonight particularly in defence because we have no direction, where’s the dummy runners, where’s the link up play between forwards and backs? Do we still train in the week or what? Any defence can stop an attacking side if it plays one man rugby with one move i.e. Brown drops the inside pass. I must agree with Mrs Lam though, the things we lacked the most tonight were passion and effort and you can give UTC all the credit you like but any other super league team would have done better than us.

You are putting words into my mouth now. I did not say I was afraid of HKR.Doveoverdave posted:robjoenz posted:I saw York play last season in the game at Widnes, their defence wasn't as strong as UTCs tonight, we'd have stuffed them even if we'd played badly, like we did tonight.GeoffN posted:

From the guy who's afraid of Hull KR. Unbelieeeeeevable!
I shall explain this to you in a manner which you may (or may not) understand.
You asked whether UTC were 50 points better than Pia and York, I would say yes to being 50 better than York. In the French league UTC have a points difference of 602, Pia have a difference of 292, this is over 16 games, which makes them statistically over 19 points better than Pia. Given that we were poor tonight and should realistically have won by 20 points this is fair.
