Denis isn't head coach - he's still MG's assistant until Mike's illness is sorted out one way or another.

yes end of this season. I would of loved to see gregz return he was starting to turn this team towards glory again.

Its only like Eric Hughes came to Wigan from St Helens, and he wasnt that bad, if I remember rightly we did win under his leadership, Challenge cup if I am right was it ??? cant quite remember, maybe one of you could remind me ?

1996-97 After West, before Monie's second stint.

We came 4th in the League, but beat Saints in the final to win the premiership. Lost to Saints in the 4th rd CC.

Not forgetting our great success in the World Club Challenge. On 2nd thoughts, perhaps best we all forget about that!

That was the first season I really started following Wigan properly, and even though I didn't realise Hughes had come from St Helens I didn't like the man. For me he ranks alongside Andy Goodway as the worst coach we've had in those 8 years I've been watching the team.

You got me there, Fraggle - I really had forgotten that until you reminded me!

I'd agree with that, I think.
