We had a bit of hoo-haa when the Latics wanted to play their match with Blackpool at the DW... seem's it was all about nothing in the end.

Gareth Crooks absolutely lambasted the Latics.But, with eight of the mainstays of last season and three new signings drafted in as late as this week, the visitors overwhelmed a lethargic Wigan side that was missing Charles N'Zogbia to such a degree that the Latics were booed by their own fans.

I'm just wondering when 'the pitch' (translated as, the rugby usage) will become as issue.

Worth switching our fixture for that! 
Traffic around the ground was horrendous about 4.30pm as I was driving past...can't think why.

The whole effort was incredibly sad. I watched it on MOTD and the Latics were awful. Forget Premier League, they were not even Championship standard.

Latics are sufferin cos they lost three of their defenders in the close season as Whelan is too much of a cheapskate to pay them the going rate. Their defensive organisation was none existant.

Nzogbia looks like he wants out. Ungrateful git but bad news. I agree Doc they need some better defenders.
