They probably can but it makes sense now as the championship rules are different than the SL ones. I knew Widnes could not pay him more re their cap limit but this gives them a way of doing it.

I thought that as well but refused to believe my eyes. The entire team could be community development officers by that rule so there must be limit somewhere else.Kittwazzer wrote:Dave.
My reading of the words 'each player' in paragraph 6.6.2 suggests that more than one player can be put forward for the role!

I think the safeguard there is the registering with the RFL pre season clause
