Adrian Lam

Post by WIGANMAD2001 »

It is a shame that such a great palyer like Lam is having a bad season. Me and my family was all talking about Lam as a possible candidate for Man Of Steel last season.

I personaly think it is mostly because Lam and Farrell complement each others game, meaning that when Farrell is there Lam can sit back abit more and set him self up with an explosive attack but at the minute it seems as if his is trying to hard. It also is a shame about his kicking game.

But im sure thatwhen Farrell gets back Lam will be as good as last season.

I dont think it is that he has suddenly become an average player overnight it is a fact that he is having to try so much harder with so much extra responsibility on his shoulders. He is having to lead the team, both backs and forwards, direct us around the park due to having no real experienced half back partner, or pack leader. He still does an amasing amount of defensive work and has taken nearly all the kicking responsibility ball in hand, I think it is a bit early in the year to be criticising a true worl class player. I think he deserves the season and when we look back over it i think you will then recognise just what an outstanding talent he is. Players like Lam dont come around very often think he has an important role to play in this season, which i am growing increasingly optomistic about after the last few performances.

spot on warriorjohn, he can't be expected to be all things to all men but he's doing his damndest, goes back to what we all know - get a few injuries out of the way and we will be awesome (we are now but soon we will be more so!)
Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.

lammy is a class act.... unfortunatly for him like everyone says he is carrying the weight of the team on his shoulders..
i still think he has played well this year, especially defence, he takles blokes double his size & is always looking for the ball.. & making the break..

with the exeption of the convo, thought he had a good game last night...
he will be even more effective attacking wise when faz does come back..
if anyone is knocking him just look at his, & come to mention it the entire teams work rate especially since the semi..

I totally agree with Warriorjohn Lam is absolute quality. At the moment he is having to do all the organising and try to come up with all our attacking options. When the likes of faz and cassidy are fully fit you will see the adrian lam of last season back.

The kids all look up to him as a model pro and you can tell that he is relishing playing with such talented youngsters. He is truely world class and i only hope that he can be persuaded to stay. It will be a sad day when adrain leaves wigan.

i agree the way lammy is playing he should be given another year contract. the guy tackles everything and virtually never misses. he's organising the younger players and they are working good together. I think if they dont keep him for another year they may regret it. They should at least keep him on as a coach or sumthin?

lam has a job waiting for him when he goes home coaching the roosters under 19's side, i seem to remember reading

i dont know if we will get another year out of him, persoannly id like to sign a world class stand off, in the brad fittler mould and throw robinson in as the 7!

unless jones or johns fancy a couple of years
as number 7 for the greatest club in the world!

I have to agree that although i will be sad to see him go and i do think that we could get another good season out of him i think he should go at the end of the year and Robinson get his chance, after all he has been learning from the master in Lam. Think it is now time we brought in a world class 6 to bring that little extra creativity out wide and also prepare Brown for when hopefully realises his potential. After that i really think we will be laughing with the future G.B. halfback partnership ripping defences apart for years to come then we can look to use those valuable overseas spots elsewhere in the squad.

Cannot argue with the statement about the future GB half backs. It brings back memories of Edwards and Gregory!
