It can drive you to drink sometimes
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
Gareth Hock did not cheat. He broke a rule for use of a social drug. He was wrong to do so and got punished for it. A silly boy yes but a cheat NO. Is Ricky Hatton a cheat? I could go on and on.
Wigan follow the rules but trust me Gaz is the most tested / most watched player in RL.
not the point though is it, the club should have sacked him on the spot like all the other players who have been caught for drug use, not rewarded with a big juicy contract
He has been sacked Meds and lost 18 months 2 years of a contract and when he gets a new contract it may well be lower than his previous one. 4 NRL Clubs want him incl Penrith / Nobby and umpteen SL Clubs.
I hate drugs and everything they do but sadly we seem stuck with them in society.

The point OH was making Hock could come back at the expense of a player like Farrell or Tuscon or any of the other back row forwards who just helped us lift the GF trophy. That hasn't got anything to do with the fact he has served his time.
Hypothetical question - if you had to chose between Farrell and Hock who would you have in the squad?

Tricky question. I'd need to see how Hock's layoff has affected him, but if he's as good as he was before, he'd get in ahead of Liam, for me. It's great to have so many quality forwards available, though - this season has shown that we need all of them, to cover for injuries.
If rumours are true, though, and he comes back as a prop, it might be more of a choice between Prescott and Hock for the 4th spot behind Fielden, Coley & Lima.
