Chev walker has just tweeted on Sam Burgess' twitter page, asking him if it's true about Willie Mason being banned. Saying it's going round like wild fire over here. Does anyone know anything about this?

there is a link on HKR's page on rlfans, seems like match fixing allegations in august between north's and buldogs, others have been named as being involved with mason and 4 other players and a top coach

I posted about an 'NRL Match Fixing Scandal' a while back but didn't post any names because at the moment everything is just rumours Link.

I would be careful naming names though even if other people have done because at the moment no one has the facts to back up any accusations.

Ryan Tandy will be one. He was named. The incidents he was involved in look totally set up. IIRC, his involvement was something like North Q would score first and from a penalty. In the opening minutes he knocked on to give North possession then blatantly conceded a penalty in front of his own posts. Unfortunately, a player took a quick tap rather than the 2 pointer.

Sounds very similar to the betting that Matt LeTissier was involved in a few years ago. He revealed it all on tv.
