Pushing in the ruck
Pushing in the ruck
For the second time in two weeks Eddie Hemmings made the point that you can't push a tackler out of the way when they're lying/squatting on the floor between the man playing the ball and the dummy half. Firstly has he ever played rugby before? Secondly what does he think is the difference between doing this and running/pushing a marker who's not standing square? And thirdly does he not realise that if the defender is lying there with his arms up and not rolling away the initial penalty should be for not rolling away since this comes before the push even if there is such a rule. This has been happening for years and never been mentioned yet Eddie mentions it twice in two weeks as if its a new thing creeping into the game. Does he expect the play the ball to be delayed for a couple of seconds while the hooker kindly asks the defender to move or more to the point is he just a moron?
Gareth Thomas before his first game: "You wanna spend 10 mins getting smashed up by these guys..Big dudes here.."
