Magic Weekend Unreserved Seats Heading for Sell-out

Post by josie andrews »

With just over three weeks to go until the 2011 Engage Super League campaign kicks-off with a bang, unreserved tickets for the opening weekend's Millennium Magic Weekend extravaganza at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium have almost sold-out.

All 14 Super League clubs will be in action during the Magic Weekend and with some fierce some contests in store, fans are sure to be treated to an action-packed start to the season.

Wigan Warriors are urging fans to secure their tickets for the February 12 and 13 event as soon as possible so that they don't miss out on seeing their new players Jeff Lima and Ryan Hoffman line up for the Champions in competitive action for the first time.

Wigan will take on St Helens in what will be a repeat of last season's Grand Final and with so much resting on the performances of week one, Michael Maguire said "We can't wait for the Magic Weekend to come around. We've been in training now sincve November and everyone is gelling well together and we just can't wait to get out on the pitch.

"There are a few new faces in the squad and everyone is determined to go out there and put their mark on a squad position for the rest of the year and to do that in Cardiff would be extra special.

"Some of our guys have never played at the Millennium Stadium before and they're really excited about playing under the roof in one of the best stadiums in the world.

"Going to Cardiff and having all the fans together under one roof to start the season is a great idea. This is very much a weekend to celebrate the thousands of loyal fans who follow Rugby League.

"Our games against Saints last season were always close and we're sure that the Magic fixture will be no different."

Day Tickets for Millennium Magic cost from £25 (concessions £12.50) with weekend passes starting from £35 (concessions £17.50). Season ticket holders save 50% on Magic Weekend tickets and by booking through the club you will be supporting the Warriors. Tickets are available from the DW Stadium Ticket Office or by calling 0871 66-33-552.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
