WCC - the Saints are coming...!

G'day Wigan fans,

Thought I would drop in to let you know that there is a group of St George supporters heading over for the WCC. Should be a cracking match.

While I think we are the better squad - you guys have an obvious advantage with the home ground, conditions, time of year etc.

There are a few of us going to the Wigan v Man U game the day before at DW too.

Hopefully it is a close match and played in a good spirit and the "right" team wins of course. It is a fitting WCC with probably the two most famous clubs in world rugby league fighting it out.

Looking forward to hitting the pubs there too.

Any tips on things to do over there would be appreciated...

just go in all the pubs in wigan theres loads to choose from and all have there own character ,welcome and enjoy the match

One of the best things to do is to walk through St Helens waving a big flag that reads:

'There's only one Saints RL Team, and it ain't you cabbage smelling scrubbers!'

They will fit in well especially having copied your kit shirts for this season.
Hope you have a good time over here Jubbsy, and dont forget your winter clobber, you will certainly need it in February.
The atmosphere at Superleague games is probably somewhat different to what you are used to back home.

Very much looking forward to it- the singing, the atmosphere and the banter shall be all great fun. Even the cold will be part of the experience- going to be over forty degrees Celsius in some parts of Sydney today.
