Andy Coley
Had a knee clean out yesterday, may be out for three weeks
Needs both doing at the end of the season when he retires.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: Andy Coley
Well if he needs it now is the time, we've only got Catalan, Cas and Stains :eh: all away during the next three weeks, hopefully Andy will be back fit and ready to cream the Giants and the Whinos at the DW

Re: Andy Coley
I am not sure many fans realise that Coley has been playing all season on very poor knees that will get him to the end of the season but are screwed requiring major surgery hence why he is retiring.

Often the unsung hero. A good workman. Not the best timing though.

Not to be too pessimistic, but wasn't this whatMr. fielden had done?

Re: Andy Coley
Similar yes, but more work. Fielden trained too hard too soon and made it worse. It was envisaged and originally planned that Coley would soldier on until the end of the season and have everything done in retirement. Wigan/Coley must think a clean up will help him/Wigan and can be done without losing him for too many games

Coley Sidelined
Wigan Warriors will be without prop Andy Coley for 2-3 weeks following a minor operation on his knee this week.
The operation on the cartilage was a success but will mean Andy will at least miss the trip to Catalans this weekend and the trip to Castleford Tigers the week after.
Michael Maguire told us,
"Andy had the minor operation on Tuesday, he had a slight tear in his cartilage but he should be back in a couple of weeks. It will give an opportunity for us to blood a few extras who can come in and do a job for us."

Re: Andy Coley
Will Crosby get a shot ?!?!?
Catalans pack is Massive but he would be more important for us against Stains so if he can recover in time then good call, however we fans can forget hes human and his health and well being is more important than a few games.

Re: Andy Coley
I would expect Crosby to get an opportunity. Ordinarily, Ben Davies would be the option but IMO Ben has gone backwards in 2011 and I cannot see him being given a new contract. Tom Spencer is another young prop who would not let us down.
