Union in meltdown?

Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

You should be wishing we could get league up to their level rather than wish them ill. It contributs majorly to participation sports in this country. For it to collapse would do no-one any favours, jim

:conf: Erm odd thinking Jim. At the very least if Union has financial issues based on blatant mismanagement then it keeps young League players playing League and even allows us to attract Union players to League. Win win for League surely.

Would not think so. Maybe the wage structure of the top earners would stop the poaching but for union to loose out as a major sport would cause so much harm. Jobs, stadiums, infrastructure, uk wide. The gains to a marginal sport like league would not compensate for losses. Leagues ideal should be to get as big as union. Bit like those advocating latic to go down. The only looser is Wigan. You may not like our roommate at the DW but he pays his share of the rent.Jim

It's all part of the politics and gesturing ahead of which faction of super ego's gets proper control. Don't think there's any chance of union collapsing, or of RL benefiting even if they did.

There are times when one wonders if the powers that be at the RFL are any better than the hooray henrys who run the RU, so I don't anticipate any benefit to the league from this situation.

We are closely monitoring a number of Union players.
