Seem to remember grumbles that we had signed an over the hill nothing better than a workhorse but lacks the flair to suit Wigan, a few eating their words and an overdose of humble pie required. Mind you same was said of Pat, Trent, Finch and a few more. Well done George,
Oh Jim, you make me smile. Humble pie maketh a man.

I knew you would be happy Matthew :D
Absolutely! Tell him how pleased we all are next time you speak to him!

Great news this. I hope (and I think they will) the club will use George properly and rest him when appropriate like when we have fixture pile ups as we just did.

There is that saying about young players "If you are good enough you are old enough". Well the same kind of thing applies to George "If you are good enough, age doesn't matter" and he is good enough.

Mind you that does not apply to many players of his vintage!

I hope he stays injury free because that will be this mans only weakness!

Should the thread title not be, Wigan Sign The Worlds Greatest Centre!

I really hope Wigan use him wisely next year and put a youngster (maybe Acton) as his shadow!

I used to be of the thought that Josh Charnley would be his perfect replacement but the boy is doing so well on the wing would it be worth moving him?? If we did move Charnley to the centres it could provide an opportunity for King to start dipping his feet in Super League.

Who knows Option options.
