Hopefully Widnes' ground can continue to be a happy hunting ground for us for one more week. It is considerably smaller than the DW and alot of Saints fans have said they would rather it be played at the DW. It is also rumoured that Pat Richards can kick a goal from 60m out in other words on his own 40m line. He can drop goal it 70m. This also makes 40-20s easier to execute. However kickoffs are more difficult for Pat as he is used to kicking to full length. Hope hes been practicing the shorter distance.
There are also rumours that this is why James Graham and Roby have so many more meters than anyone else. This is due to 100m at Widnes being more like 80 odd at the DW. We have won 8 of last 10 games at Widnes over the last 8 seasons. Here are the results.
2004
Wire CCSF W 30-18
Wid SL W 56-8
Wid SL L 16-20
2005
WID SL W 32-20
WID SL W 48-24
2007
WID CCR4 W 34-24
2008
BRAD SSPO W 30-14
2009
WIRE CCSF L 26-39
2010
WID CCR5 W 64-10
2011
SAINTS SL W 32-10
I now cannot wait for this game as we have sold out our end and I reckon it will be the best game of the season should we win.
"I can't wait to seem James Graham cry".

Re: The battle of the postage stamp
Roby has about 300 more carries than anyone else in the competiton. I think that's a more likely reason!
Re: The battle of the postage stamp
Similar to when Bradford played at Valley Parade and Deacon used to constantly kick penalties from inside his own half.
