Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

Karl Pryce to Cas - Mathers to Wakey

Post by josie andrews »

Former Wigan star KARL PRYCE is set to be handed a career lifeline by Castleford.

The former prodigy is looking for a club after his Warriors contract expired.

Now Tigers boss Ian Millward is ready to take a punt on the 25-year-old, who spent last season on at Harlequins.

It was clear he would not get a new deal at Wigan and there was no sign of a club coming in until Castleford's interest.

Meanwhile, Tigers full-back Richie Mathers is signing for Wakefield after being told he has no future at the club.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Strange moves indeed. Pryce is good enough for Cas and Mathers isn't?

Didn't Millward do a similar thing to Radlinski? As apparently Mathers has not even met up with Millward or been back at Cas for pre season training, yet he is trying to offload him.

Mathers has been tweeting that he has been training in the gym with the Cas lads. Still my comment of

"I like how you lift loads of weights you must be really strong, just need some back wheels now and you'll be sorted"

Probably didn't go down too well.
