Catalan away 2012

Got a hot rumour from a source inside the club, or just something you heard down the pub? Then what are you waiting for, post it on The Rumour Mill.

Catalan away 2012

Post by josie andrews »

Was told today by someone who read it in a French RL paper, that we will be playing Catalan in June & again in Montpelier!!!

If this is correct, that will be two seasons I'll have missed going to this fixture :(

why montpellier. sick of the fixtures being played in citys where flying to is awkward. why not play in barcelona like they did against wire 3 year ago where they got 18k on? if not venture out of france try toulouse.

Just managed to survive the last trip with the 80 degree angular terracing.

Like a bloody death trap!

Nice city though more to do than in Perpignan.

Wanting to go to the Catalan game this year for the first time. How easy is it to get to the ground, sort transfers / get tickets, find accom etc...? Do most people go with WW organised trips? Any advice would be appreciated.

Deadly - its easy to get around town and to the ground in Perpignan, but just beware that the fixture comes with a warning " Venue to be confirmed". They usually take a game or two "on the road" so may not be in Perpignan, but any other ground in France (inc. Paris):- and France is a big place.

So my advice would be don't maroon yourself with a cheap flight to Perpignan just in case its a long way away e.g. in Montpellier last year.

From what I've heard the stadium is a death trap!!

We would normally stay in Calella & the extra transfer time to the game & back makes it too much for me :(
