We look so threatening at the moment and are playing some fantastic Rugby. The team is growing and improving all of the time and for me this is the best Wigan team for quite some time. Yes the Maguire teams were good but for me this is better. This isnt a slight of Maguire as he laid the foundations, both on and off the field, and put everything in place to bring us to where we are now. Without him it wouldnt have been possible to do what we are doing now imo.

Wane has built on what Maguire did and has got us playing great Rugby and has given confidence to the younger players that he brought through the ranks in the youth teams. This coupled with the fact that these players like McIlorum, Goulding, Charnley, Mossop etc are all another year older and wiser, Hock returning and the form of the pack as a whole with Lima on fire now after settling in means that, for me, we are a better team than under Maguire.

As I said that is no disrespect to Maguire, it is just a combination of factors that are coming into place that have meant we have risen to another level and are now playing a style of Rugby that we couldnt have played a couple of seasons ago.
